WWE Velocity - December 3, 2005

The regular videos go off and we go right into recap number one of the night which is Randy Orton versus Matt Hardy and the stint that followed afterwards with Undertaker. Good match and good segment (though a little drawn out). Check it out if you get the chance. So what comes next? A bona fide London classic? Nope. Another recap! This time it's the second match in the series between Booker T and Chris Benoit which you should also go out of your way to watch. The neck work and control by Booker as well as the selling and bumps Benoit took alone make it worth seeing. From there, we actually get a match; someone's feels like giving back today. Before the match though, Josh Matthews and Steve Romero give us some kind of weird studio lead-in which actually made me wonder if Romero had to do somebody a little "favor" to get in with the WWE if he can't even catch the "tool" joke Matthews threw at him.

Orlando Jordan Vs. TJ Dalton

This isn't exactly what I thought when they said "main event," but it's better than no match at all. With that said, the match still was nothing to go out of your way to watch. It had some good offense by Jordan as he was supposed to be trying out a new "ruthless" gimmick. Yes, it had good offense, but nothing, and I do mean nothing, else. The jobber's comeback was a series of punches that ended in two; comeback of the year, guys. Can you even call that a comeback? This is one of those squashes that just dragged and dragged and dragged and dragged and dragged until Orlando Jordan stole a move from Carlito and ended it. Thank you for nothing, WWE.

Winner: Orlando Jordan

Star Wrestler: Orlando Jordan

So who should get this one: the guy who sold some and had the brunt of the offense, or the guy who just sold and threw two punches? As much as he needs a haircut, I'm going to side with Jordan.

Orlando Jordan then tosses Dalton out of the ring for some odd reason and stands tall as we get a commercial of the Divas magazine which I'm sure is a must-read. Let me guess: they all want world peace?

So coming up next, we have...another recap. What the hell is this? This is perhaps the first and only Velocity so far on WWE.com to be mostly recaps. What happened to one recap per show? This bites. Anyway, this one recapped the pretty good tag team match between Rey Mysterio/JBL and Big Show and Kane. It was a pretty decent main event especially considering the stinkers we have gotten this year. The peril spot tease is perhaps the highlight of the match, but if you're a fan of any of those four, it's still something to check out. Surprisingly, that's it! That's literally it for Velocity. How stupid is that? This was a complete joke of a show compared to some of the shows they have had in the past that have beaten out Raw and SmackDown! without even breaking a sweat. This definitely sucks. Save yourself the 15 minutes guys; don't watch Velocity this week. You'll be pissed off beyond recognition and will lose a portion of your day. Well, that's going to be it, so 'till next time, this is "Squared Circle Reviews" signing off and hoping you enjoy what you watch, as long as it's not a recap show.
